NOTES FOR CREUSE:

Creuse is located in the former region of Limousin, now part of the much larger region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Creuse is the most sparsely populated region of France, which goes a long way to explaining the beautiful and isolated little villages, the amazing landscapes and the clarity of the air there. The region is the second least populated region in France, with fewer than twenty inhabitants per square kilometre. even Gueret, the largest town in the region, has a population of less than 3,000 people. The rural agricultural landscape provides few business opportunities, which has meant that many people have moved away from Creuse in search of better job prospects in more populated areas of France. On the flip side, the quietness and seclusion makes the region a perfect haven for anyone wishing to escape modern life for a while.
